Urbana FFA members recently attended the Champaign County Farm Bureau Dinner and Annual Meeting, providing students with an opportunity to connect with local agricultural leaders and learn more about career opportunities in agriculture and education.
The Urbana FFA chapter is led by President Isabelle Shoemaker, Sentinel Lauren Stollings, and Reporter Abigail Gsell.
The evening featured guest speaker Alyssa Bregel from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, where she works in the Office of Career-Technical Education. Bregel spoke about the importance of career-technical education and the opportunities available to students as they prepare for their futures.
School administrative staff were also in attendance and had the opportunity to mingle with FFA students and enjoy dinner together.
Events such as the Farm Bureau Annual Meeting give Urbana FFA students valuable opportunities to build connections, expand their knowledge, and learn more about the many career pathways available through agriculture and career-technical education.
